The 2 smaller outside track belts contribute to acceleration, but the more studs you put in these belts, the harder it is to corner. 1.Check allowable clearances between track and tunnel or heat exchangers. Factor in suspension travel. (Trail riders should NOT use studs that exceed 3/8” above the highest point of the track.) 2.Do not place studs under the tunnel protector strips (directly above slide rails on underside of tunnel). Tunnel protectors are vital and must not be subjected to damage from studs. 3.V-Shaped stud patterns with the least repetition work best. Studs should cover as many different lines in the ice as possible. 4.Studs closest to the slide rails provide the most effectiveness, because the sled weight is concentrated in this area.
STUD SELECTION GUIDE PENETRATION RECOMMENDATION FOR TRAIL RIDING IS 1/4” - 3/8” (0.250”-0.375”) Deviating from this recommendation can result in premature track wear, tunnel damage and/or loss of control. LUG HEIGHT STUD SIZE PENETRATION LUG HEIGHT

•Install studs no closer than 3/4” from edges of track. •Avoid center of track - poor support in this area.

IMPORTANT STUDDING INFORMATION We recommend that you install one stud first and turn the track ALL THE WAY AROUND to make sure that there is proper clearance and that the stud protrudes the proper amount over the lug, after checking... then proceed to install the remainder of the studs. 1/4”-3/8” of stud height (the portion of the stud protruding above the highest rubber portion of the track) is ideal for trail riding.

PERFORMANCE
IGRIP TRACK STUDS What type of snowmobiler are you? Whether you be a pleasure seeker who is looking for increased traction and security in the trails or a rip shedding nut job on a quest for high performance aggressive traction, we’ve got you covered. Whether you have an old and worn track or a brand new one, iGrip has a stud to suit your need. These studs offer you the advantage of being silent, cost effective and very easy to install. Being light weight, they won’t add excessive weight to your track and being deeply threaded into the lugs rubber, they pose little to no danger to coolers as they rarely come out. These studs will provide you with an increased feeling of stability, control and security in all situations, icy or not. Our Standard Studs (ST), provide better all around traction especially in strategic areas of the trail such as curves and ice patches. They provide security, traction and overall increased performance and durability. Our Shouldered Studs, (SS), on the other hand are designed for aggressive riding on all trail and ice surfaces for the high performance enthusiasts. NOTE: The SS models are not recommended for the Cobra 1.352 and Ripsaw II tracks as they are too narrow and flexible.
